In the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona, the Southwest Experience Center (SWXC) stands as a testament to the transformative power of collaboration and partnership. Spearheaded by Jeff Emmons, CEO and Founder of Immedia, a technology integration company specializing in networked AV management, this unique project emerged from a mission to create an inspiring destination where industry influencers and end users could gather and explore the innovative possibilities shaping the future of workspace design. Working closely with Forward Tilt, a commercial furniture dealer known for creating evolutionary workplace experiences, and with Allsteel, Jeff was able to bring his vision to life in this newly created 32,000 -square foot facility.

This one-of-a-kind experiential hub features the combined expertise of over 50 dedicated partners who have invested more than $9 million in furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to create a collaborative ecosystem, enabling clients to discover innovative workplace solutions. A dynamic platform for a wide range of activities, SWXC serves both as a showroom for partners and a functional workspace for the Immedia team. It has hosted numerous tours and meetings, accommodating everything from large industry events to more intimate influencer gatherings for A+D and corporate real estate professionals. During end user tours and influencer meetings, invested partners work together to provide a comprehensive perspective on the workspace's advantages and innovative features.
Tasked with designing the SWXC space for evolution and future flexibility, the team at Forward Tilt planned for a diverse array of settings thoughtfully supported by adaptable furnishings that prioritize comfort and cater to various needs. The furniture can be easily moved and rearranged to allow for a variety of settings – large group venues, classroom configurations or small, intimate vignettes. This approach creates an environment that is not only fresh and inviting but also supportive and inclusive; all of which are important for meeting the evolving demands of today’s workplace.

Along with featuring movable walls that can be easily reconfigured as requirements shift, SWXC offers a broad range of setting options, from welcoming lounges and collaborative meeting areas to enticing hospitality spaces. Dedicated work areas showcase versatile furniture in 120-degree applications, linear benching configurations, and panel-based layouts that provide privacy and focus to accommodate multiple work styles. In addition, an inviting café and outdoor patios further enhance the employee experience, emphasizing well-being.

In a world where the way we work continues to evolve, the SWXC offers abundant inspiration and reminds us that the potential for workspace design is limitless.
Says Michelle, "SWXC is more than just a physical space-it represents all that's possible for the modern workplace.”
