Effortless Connectivity Is Enabled by Digital Equity
Digital Equity is the recognition that when employees who are not co-located collaborate, consideration of experience of both virtual and in-person attendees is essential to make all feel that they are participating equitably, so that all voices can be heard, inclusiveness fostered, and innovation cultivated.
We believe that with careful and mindful planning, we can foster better collaboration, improve efficiencies, and, most importantly, impart a feeling of inclusivity.
Effortlessly Connecting Means…
...creating an environment that brings diverse people together, equitably, even when they aren't all together.
...removing the barriers to dynamic community by building intentional, seamless, and consistent spaces.
...supporting today's workstyles while looking ahead to tomorrow.
...fostering belonging by elevating the human experience through the supported interaction of in person community.
Digital equity requires that we fully consider three aspects of collaboration: people, place, and technology. Examining the experiences of all participants through these three aspects may suggest opportunities to change behaviors, designs, or support systems to drive a more inclusive experience.
Everyone has a “seat” at the table
Considerations: Culture & Unwritten Rules, Human Behavior, Protocols & Etiquette
Optimizing the physical space
Considerations: Privacy & Enclosure, Orientation & Posture, Adjacencies, Lighting & Acoustics
Fostering digital collaboration
Considerations: Viewing Angles, Ease of Use & Functionality, Accessibility & Serviceability
The “place between” the two extremes of all remote and all in-person is likely the most complex and the most common work paradigm.
